Maham

Youth Advisory Board Member

Maham is a freshman at a university in Texas, where she is on a pre-med track with a focus in biosciences and a minor in neuroscience. She is a writer for her university’s student newspaper and a mentor to local high school students. She has previously been a research intern at Texas Children’s Hospital’s pediatric genetics department, and served on youth advisory councils for a mayor and a congressional representative.

Maham joined Plan International USA’s Youth Advisory Board in 2021. She joined because she wants to help create positive change in areas such as maternal and menstrual health, and promote women working in STEM careers.

In her free time, Maham loves to crochet or knit items for her Etsy shop and do henna for other people.
