Malika
Youth Advisory Board Member
Malika is an undergraduate at Johns Hopkins University, where she studies economics and international studies. She is part of the university’s Foreign Affairs Symposium and is researching the 1904 Namibian genocide. Malika worked in the Baltimore Mayor’s Office under the Office of Employment Development and is an analyst for Baltimore’s Youth Works program.
Malika joined Plan International USA’s Youth Advisory Board in 2015. She helps to plan the Youth Leadership Academy (YLA) and serves as a YLA mentor. In addition, Malika has represented Plan on Capitol Hill panels, at fundraising events and during International Day of the Girl activities, including a takeover with Accenture. In addition, she was the voice behind Plan’s first advocacy campaign in the U.S.
