Night Jean

Youth Advisory Board Member

Night Jean is an undergraduate at Rhode Island College, where he studies public administration with a minor in computer information systems and data science. As a refugee, Night Jean has experienced violence and oppression firsthand and believes in the necessity of peace, community organizing, advocacy and equality. Night Jean is a global peace ambassador at the Global Peace Chain and is the president of the Black Student Union Harambee at Rhode Island College. Night Jean serves on the board of directors at the Refugee Dream Center as secretary general, is a community advisory board member at Providence Public Schools and is a community advisory board member at Brown University Swearer Center.

Night Jean joined Plan International USA’s Youth Advisory Board (YAB) in 2018. He works with other YAB members to plan the annual Youth Leadership Academy. He also serves on the YAB’s Public Engagement subcommittee.
